Ngā Tai Ahoroa
600x600 mixed media on pine round
By Julia Kihi-Coates
Inspired by the moon and its influence on our tides, Ngā Tai Ahoroa is named after the bright moonlight that shines upon the earth and waters. The pūhoro design references the movement of our waters and the moons push and pull on our moana, creating the tides. The colours represent the glow of the moon and the light that shimmers on the surface of the waters.
